Ask Grok or Claude about comics for sale
You can ask Grok, Claude, or ChatGPT what’s actually for sale on Atomic Avenue â€"
live copies, grades, and asking prices â€" without scraping the website. They talk
to our catalog over a public connector (the same plug-in format these assistants
already use for Gmail, GitHub, and the rest).
No Atomic Avenue account is required. It does not buy anything, message sellers,
or see your account. If you want the book, it gives you a link and you check out
on Atomic Avenue like always.
Server URL (no trailing slash):
https://atomicavenue.com/api/mcp
This is the Atomic Avenue marketplace catalog. It is not your ComicBase collection.
If the assistant asks you to sign in to ComicBase, you pointed it at the wrong URL.
What you can ask
- What’s the cheapest copy of Cages #1 in VF or higher?
- Affordable VG Amazing Spider-Man #129, unrestored
- What’s in stock for Absolute Batman #1 variants under $20?
- Compare copies of X-Men #1 (1991) across sellers
- Titles matching Miles Morales with copies for sale
Say the series and the issue number when you have them. “VF or higher†means Very
Fine and better. Prices are asking prices in US dollars, not sold comps, and not
guide value.
Grok
- Open grok.com/connectors.
- Click New Connector, then Custom.
- Name it Atomic Avenue.
- Paste the server URL above. There is nothing to sign in. Save, then ask one of
the questions above â€" including from the Grok phone app.
Claude
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors (or use this
pre-filled add link).
- Choose Add custom connector.
- Name: Atomic Avenue
URL: https://atomicavenue.com/api/mcp
- Authentication: none. Leave OAuth client ID and secret blank.
- Save, then ask one of the questions above. Claude Desktop and Claude on your
phone pick up the same connectors once they’re on your account.
If a previous attempt failed, delete that connector and add it again with the URL
above â€" Claude can keep a broken registration.
ChatGPT
Turn on Developer Mode (Settings → Connectors → Advanced), create a
connector, and paste the same URL: https://atomicavenue.com/api/mcp.
OpenAI’s public app directory is a separate review process; until we’re listed there,
Developer Mode is the path.
What it will not do
- It will not add items to your cart or check out.
- It will not show seller email, address, or phone.
- It will not invent a grade or a price. If it doesn’t have a live listing, it should say so.
- If a copy sold since the last search, it should tell you it’s no longer available.
A few practical notes
Several series can share a name (there is more than one X-Men #1). If the
answer looks like the wrong decade, say the year or the publisher.
The catalog is rate-limited so a flood of automated queries can’t knock over the
store. Ordinary questions from Grok or Claude are fine. This is not a bulk dump of
the warehouse.
Privacy
The connector only sees public for-sale listings â€" the same facts you’d get browsing
Atomic Avenue. It does not use your Atomic Avenue password or your ComicBase collection.
