I Love New York

™ and ©2002 Joseph Michael Linsner

Everyone has their own story about where they were on Sept. 11, so why should Joseph Michael Linsner be any different?

I Love New York is Linsner’s account of how he became aware of the tragedy and of the reactions and emotions experienced by him and his friends.

The art is not as lush as Dawn readers might expect, since most pages are beautiful but simple comics art. Even the six painted pages suffer from the black-and-white presentation and lesser paper quality. (Perhaps Linsner will make them available in color as prints or a portfolio.) But these are minor issues. I Love New York is about the emotion and the emotion is strong.

Aside from being a powerful story and a look into the life of Linsner the man (as opposed to Linsner the artist), this comic book is a benefit for the American Red Cross. Linsner.com donated $10,000 to the relief effort. Purchase of this benefit comic book supports that effort.
