As part of a U.S. revival of the various 2000 A.D. titles, 2000 A.D. Showcase reappeared for a second volume in the early 1990s. It served as a forum for printing non-Judge Dredd stories from 2000 A.D., including sci-fi tales like Below Zero, or the fantasy/horror entry “Luke Kirby: The Dark Path.”
Under the direction of Fleetway/Quality’s U.S. distributor, this newer volume boasted far better quality color, paper, and production than the previous incarnation. Unfortunately, the additional quality came at a price: the relatively steep $2.95 per issue. It fell victim to the contracting comic market that followed the early 1990s boom, and concluded after eleven issues.
