 ARTR   (DC, 1996)

™ and ©1996 DC Comics, Inc.

Once, she was a member of a lost tribe of Amazons, sister to the warrior-women of Themyscira. Later, she earned the right to wear the costume of Wonder Woman. Although fiery-tempered, Artemis was a warrior of great skill and greater honor. Unfortunately, her life was destined to be glorious but short-lived.

Months after the death of Artemis, Diana, the first and rightful Wonder Woman, experiences terrible dreams. In these visions, Artemis is trapped in Hell, a slave to demons. Herself a product of myth and superstition, Diana knows these dreams are true, and that Artemis needs her help.

Hell is a lot easier to get into than out, and Diana finds herself overwhelmed by demonic forces. Only Artemis can save Wonder Woman, and ultimately, herself.

But does Artemis really want to be saved?
