Manicomio

    (Editorial Ortega Colunga, 1963-1964)

A photonovel that tells the personal stories and misadventures of the feeble-minded, who, prisoners of their own fears, succumb to madness. Each self-contained issue is a close look at the strange landscape of mental illness, and of course, at the sad history that always accompanies these patients. The covers seek to capture the diverse emotions of these patients: in some, the lost gaze in the face of fear, or in the face of absolute truth, which makes us prefer madness instead of sound judgment; in others, they show us the patient who, prey to hallucinations, is immersed in the horror of his demons; and in some more, a sad, melancholic look, full of despair.
