Proclaiming itself as “an all new anthology by all new artists,” Hoax features black and white stories from a collection of independent voices. A jam cover with a crossword puzzle layout hints at the experimental content to be found within. A calendar detailing a number of violent events in history hints at the views of the participants involved. Stories presented include a surreal trip through airport security, a commentary on the state of political protests, and an examination of the various forms of cannibalism. Considering the title of the anthology, it might be safe to assume that none of the stories should be taken at face value.
