A Stranger’s Tale

Under a card-stock cover by artist Steve Epting, three science fiction stories are presented in this enterprising title.

“Temple” is an interesting tale of a priest/soldier’s encounter in a bar that has some similarities to the cantina scene in Star Wars and “Spork” is the story of a love that blossomed between members of two warring races. The third feature, G.U.N.S., concerns an uprising at a military prison for super humans, only these super humans are actually draftees for a military program. Think X-Men crossed with The Dirty Dozen.

The art in all three stories is crisp and professional for what was obviously an ambitious entry into the independent comic market.
