The Daring New Adventures of Supergirl

Supergirl, a super-human Kryptonian hidden behind the facade of a shy brunette college student, found her way to Earth as a fifteen-year-old and quickly hooked up with her cousin, Superman. Since Superman had crime in Metropolis pretty much under control, after graduating from high school, Supergirl found herself battling villains in San Francisco and Chicago.

This brief series shortened its name to Supergirl in 1983, but ended its run altogether less than a year later. Supergirl went back to making occasional appearances as a guest super-heroine, eventually dying in Crisis on Infinite Earths #7.
