The Outer Limits

The Outer Limits was an intelligent and thought-provoking science–fiction television show during the 1960s, featuring half-hour dramas of future societies, alien invasions, and supernatural occurrences, usually in the form of fables with shock endings to drive home the point. The format was similar to The Twilight Zone, but with a harder science-fiction edge. It inspired many imitators and a series revival in the mid–1990s.

Dell published comic book adaptations of The Outer Limits from 1964–1969. The stories were either based on the original television screenplays or stuck very close to their style, and the artwork was typical of Dell’s no-nonsense approach to television and movie–inspired comics, which they cranked out by the carload from the 1940s through the 1970s.
