The Scorpion King

An adaptation of the spinoff movie from Universal’s “The Mummy Returns,” this comic follows the rise of a warrior king who ruled the desert thousands of years before the existence of Egypt. Both movie and comic star wrestling’s the Rock as “The Scorpion King”—one part Conan and one part “Gladiator.” A traditional sword-and-sorcery tale follows as the low-born warrior and assassin Mathayus must break his bonds as a slave to become king of his people and lead them in battle against the threat of the evil King Memnon of Gomorroh.
