Pogo Possum

Walt Kelly’s character of the swamp-dwelling opossum, introduced in Animal Comics #1, had his own series, as well, begun after Animal Comics had folded and after Kelly’s characters had been running in the nation’s newspapers as a daily comic strip. Kelly had softened the look of his characters by the time of this comic-book series.

While many of the plot lines in these issues derived from the sorts of antics that appeared in Kelly’s strips, none of the stories here were actually strip reprints.
