Former philosopher, assassin and statesman Horatio Hellpop was chosen at birth by Merk, a renegade alien, to be the instrument of justice. Now Horatio, as Nexus, has the awesome responsibility of saving the rest of the universe from the myriads of evil shapeshifters, imperialistic humans, and the many rogues and scoundrels that seek to enslave or torture others.

It would be a tough, lonely job were it not for his friends. His lovely companion Sundra Peale provides romantic diversions. He also has a trusted advisor in Dave of Thune. This Mohawk-wearing alien was rescued by Nexus on an alien mission and here dispenses both sage wisdom and comic relief.
