This title is adapted from the novel by Moorcock. It takes place in the distant future when the cruel empire of Granbretan has conquered most of Europe. Only the province of Kamarg has resisted the wrath of the ruthless Granbretan. They owe their salvation to their leader, Count Brass, as well as to a stranger named Dorian Hawkmoon.

Hawkmoon came to the aid of Kamarg after his own land was conquered by the Granbretan. He had been captured by their leader, who planted a sorcerous jewel in Hawkmoon’s head through which he intended to control him. But Hawkmoon escaped, eventually succeeding in destroying the jewel. Enraged, the warlord swears by the greatest power in this world—the Runestaff—that he will have his revenge!
