From Beyond the Unknown

Supertitled “stories to stagger the imagination,” this series was one of DC’s most consistent science-fiction titles. Brilliant scientists doom themselves with inventions that work all too well, such as the scientist who gains immortality but turns himself into marble in the process; gigantic monsters trample major cities, either inadvertently or maliciously; and intrepid explorers who find themselves on bizarre worlds, other dimensions, or trapped either in the past or the future.

Like many science-fiction magazines, this comic also included odd bits of scientific trivia, here called Scienti-Facts. For instance, one Scienti-Fact pointed out that if all the capillaries in the human blood stream were gathered together they would cover an entire acre. (And they say comics aren’t educational!)
