Body Bags

It’s only natural for a daughter to look up to her father. Perhaps she even wants to grow up to be like him, to make him proud of her. Maybe that’s why fourteen-year-old Panda Carmen Maria Delgado is so desperate to become a body bagger.

Panda’s father is Clownface, a mountain of a man who makes his living as a “body bagger”—a bounty hunter—living in the tough town of Terminus Georgia. His partner is “Pops,” a shrewd operator whose headgear is actually a concussion cap screwed to his skull. The two have been making a good living in their chosen trade by being smarter and meaner than both their quarry and their competitors. Only now do they find out that their newest competitor is none other than Clownface’s barely teenage daughter. She’s got attitude, panache, and uncanny ability with firearms. And the only way to get her off their backs is for Clownface and Pops to let her join the family business.
