Dark Horse revisits the world of Matt Wagner’s original Grendel, Hunter Rose, in this two-issue series that reprints some early Comico material. Grendel has his fingers in a number of illicit pies in these film noir-type stories, but, unlike many costumed characters, he spends more his time as a presence in these atmospheric tales, rather than as an actual player. Grendel Classics finds Matt Wagner at his best with the character that helped establish his reputation for excellence.
