Having staked his claim to fame with a long run and an over-the-top sexy spin on DC’s Catwoman, writer/artist Jim Balent lets it all hang out with this three-issue limited series that features a super-team of improbable proportions. The Kittens are scantily clad adventurers who use cat-themed weapons and technology to protect New York City from likes of Latex Red and the Satanic Cheerleaders of Doom. This is fun stuff, but there’s little here in the way of depth—and that seems to be intended.
