Judge Dredd vs. Aliens: Incubus
(Dark Horse, 2003-2004)
™ and ©2003 Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation
Written by 2000 A.D. mainstay scribe Andy Diggle and Judge Dredd co-creator John Wagner, this mini is a marriage of two of the most action-packed and hardhitting comics on the market. The setting: Mega-City One, ruled by the Judges, who act as judge, jury and executioner on the spot at the scenes of crimes in a place that is overpopulated, overstimulated and undermanned by law enforcement. Among these brutal enforcers of justice, Judge Dredd stands foremost – he is the law. Enter into this urban sprawl the biological terrors from Ridley Scott’s classic 1970s film Alien and a fight of epic proportions is not far off. Ably drawn by Henry Flint, the art is reminiscent of Dredd’s other co-creator, Carlos Ezquera. Grim, gritty and violent as all getout, there is not much more a Dredd fan or and Alien fan could ask for!
