Citizen V and the V-Battalion: The Everlasting

™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.

The second Citizen V series opens in 1953 at the funeral of Brian Falsworth, the original Union Jack, and many of the attendees are members of the Nazi-hunting V-Battalion. In the present day, the current Citizen V is pursuing a killer who is armed like a killer the original Citizen V’s wife faced in the 1950’s. Both villains belong to a mysterious organization called the Everlasting, and it’s up to the V-Battalion to bring them down. This is good stuff, and in the flashbacks that establish the ongoing conflict between the V-Battalion and the Everlasting, a greater sense of history is brought to the Marvel Universe.
