What do robots do when they’re alone? Why, tell stories to one another about their human masters. And that’s how this series starts off, as a robot relates the story of his master, the Metabaron, the latest in a long line of the galaxy’s greatest warrior clan. This tale, lavishly elaborated from a minor story by French comics legend Moebius (Blueberry, Silver Surfer), tells of a mysterious family of laborers who guard a great secret, one that allows them to perform their jobs as simple marble cutters with an almost magical ease. But a near-tragic mishap forces to reveal their secret. And once revealed, it throws the galaxy into civil war. From this war rises the half-man half-bionic Metabaron, a cold killer who passes on his family tradition in the most startling and chilling of manners. Writer Alexandro Jodorowsky (Incal) and artist Juan Gimenez take the Moebius concept to wondrous extremes in this exciting and majestic series.
