Captain America (4th Series)

Captain America is given a post-9/11 reboot as the opening story arc revolves around the World Trade Center tragedy of that unforgettable day. Captain America had been presented as a patriotic super-hero but after 9/11 Marvel Comics felt that he needed to be more grounded in reality. Consequently, Captain America is brought back to his roots as a soldier, one who kills if he has to. Beginning with the aftermath of 9/11, Captain America is given relevance in a darker, more chaotic world that is real life.
