This two-issue prestige format limited series finds the godlike Thanos seeking the Soul Gems in his quest for infinite power. Individually, these jewels belong to some of the most formidable players in the Marvel universe—the In-Betweener, the Gardner, and Champion, among others—and, if they all fall into the possession of Thanos, he would have the power to destroy …well, everything.

Written by Jim Starlin and drawn by Ron Lim and John Beatty, The Thanos Quest ties into events in the pages of Starlin’s Silver Surfer and his later trilogy of limited series—Infinity Gauntlet, The Infinity War, and The Infinity Crusade. It is a tale of mad, insatiable evil, and it is masterfully told by one of comics’ greatest talents.
