Weapons FIle

A statement of purpose describes this series as a photo reference book for illustrators. “For each weapon, there are 24 images, taken from 3 different levels and from 360 degrees around so that no matter what your needs are, you’re sure to find it here.”

In the first issue, weapons means automatic rifles. Listed here in order of presentation: AR-15, M4 M203, AK 47, FN P90, and the Mossberg 500 Pump-Action Shot Gun.

Each rifle gets six pages of crisp, up-close black and white photographs and some additional shots of a male model dressed in camouflage in different armed poses. Short technical summaries describe such variables as each rifle’s caliber, firearm action, barrel length, magazine capacity, effective range, et cetera. The editors used various online sources to gather their information including Wikipedia.org.
