Video Girl Ai concerns a loveless teen named Moteuchi Yota who sought comfort from a video rental, only to discover that the tape’s sexy star would materialize in front of him. Video Girl Ai’s dramatic cliffhangers often frustrate fans as much as they reel them in, especially when the love triangle Yota is involved in becomes even more layered. Other serials such as Fushigi Yugi and 1999 solidify Animerica Extra’s eclecticism.
