Slaughter was one of the most brilliant yet unethical scientists on his world. He escaped to Earth to await the completion of a perfect neuro-schematic communications system, which needed only one key component. Edgar and Mallory were once a happy couple now on the verge of divorce when they happened to absorb that key component which gave them tremendous super powers, but only whenever they were near each other. Their mission: stop Slaughter without killing each other first.
