Police detective Dick Tracy is one of the classic newspaper strips, originating in a violent urban setting of the 1930s and continuing into the next century. Dick Tracy’s world, consisting of weird villains and bizarre, often brutal situations, is the constant that defines the strip. Creator Chester Gould, set the formula and the writers and artists that succeeded him follow it faithfully.

Partnered with artist, Dick Locher, who mimicked Gould’s distinctive style, Max Allen Collins, co-creator of Ms. Tree, assumed the writing chores for the strip in the 1980s. This title from ACG collected those strips for reprinting in a comic book format.
