Mister Miracle (2nd Series)

Scott Free (a.k.a. Mister Miracle) was the son of Highfather on the New Gods’ world of New Genesis. While still a boy, he was traded to Darkseid of Apokolips as part of a strange pact to avoid war between the two planets. As can be expected, Darkseid did not provide him with what is typically known as a happy childhood; he was given over to a sadistic terror known as “Granny Goodness” to be raised, and suffered mightily at her hands for years.

Escaping to Earth, he became friends with an escape artist called Mister Miracle and his assistant, a dwarf named Oberon. When Mister Miracle was killed, Scott took on his identity. He spent a number of years as an escape artist himself, later becoming a member of the Justice League International. As this second series begins, Scott just wants to settle down with his wife Barda, and his friend, Oberon. Unfortunately, his past has a nasty habit of catching up to him…
