Allegra

In an unspecified future, Allegra, Midian’s guardian is bound to a “Triad Law,” which requires her to protect the colony from attack, never betray its secrets to outsiders, and not trespass onto the undefined “Surface.”

When she broke all aspects of the Triad Law, Allegra was killed, then brought back to life. Now she’s suddenly experiencing flashbacks (or perhaps views of reality) of her 20th Century existence as a woman named Jennifer Gold.

Unfortunately, this uneven series is bound to leave the reader every bit as confused as Allegra herself. It doesn’t even try for consistency—for instance, on the very same page readers are told that Allegra is superhuman, then that her powers come from her costume.
