Abominations

    (Marvel, 1996-1997)
™ and ©1997 Marvel Characters, Inc.

This mini-series is based largely on The Incredible Hulk: Future Imperfect, which featured a tyrannical future version of the Hulk named The Maestro. Similarly, the future holds an evil version of Emil Blonsky, a.k.a. The Abomination, who succeeded The Maestro as a ruthless dictator.

In The Incredible Hulk # 431 it was revealed that the Abomination of the present had reformed and become the protector and surrogate father to a group of homeless outcasts living in the sewers. In this mini-series, a group of Mutates from the future travel to the present to escape the tyranny of the Abomination they know. Social misfits and refugees from the future clash within the domain of the redeemed villain in a story that fans of the Terminator movies may recognize. With the time travelers is a pregnant woman named Betty-6 whose unborn child is the target of the assassin, the Shulk.
