Hot Stuff (Vol. 2)

    (Harvey, 1991-1994)
™ and ©1992 Harvey Comic Publications

One might have thought the adventures of an actual little devil, complete with pitchfork-like trident, was not the type of wholesome fare considered desirable for the 1990s child. Furthermore, his name derives from his rapid boiling point in difficult situations. That he isn’t forced to display some positive coping reaction is perhaps a sign that the moral majority no longer holds the influence that it once did, although Hot Stuff’s mischief does have consequences, usually for him. Hot Stuff is decent children’s material while never attempting to be anything more. Every issue has a mixture of shorter and longer stories and a Stumbo the Giant backup, all uncredited, which is a shame.
