Michael Avon Oeming, artist of Powers fame, teams up with Mark Obie Wheatley to bring readers a tale of Norse intrigue and perseverance.
Modi grows strong and tall, but under a warning that he should never touch a weapon, lest he loose his very soul. So instead, he becomes a one-man powerhouse on a quest to find out why the gods have abandoned mankind. Along the way, most of his companions die, and he joins forces with a retired valkerie named Skogul. In the end, he gets his wish to meet the gods and generally give the Aesar a swift kick in the pants to shake them out of their cosmic lethargy.
