Spider-Man: House of M
(Marvel, 2005-2006)
™ and ©2005 Marvel Characters, Inc.
The reality-shifting events of Marvel’s House of M miniseries event created a Marvel Universe in which mutants rule the world and ordinary humans have been marginalized. In that world Peter Parker is a millionaire, he’s happily married to Gwen Stacy, and his Uncle Ben is alive. But Parker hides a secret, and not only that, his power and wealth haven’t made him a better person—only a more famous one. Some things, though, are consistent from reality to reality, and in this one he’s made some enemies… including rival businessman Norman Osborn and the lackey he has working for him: J. Jonah Jameson.
This dark twist on Peter Parker makes you wonder if he isn’t much better off in the familiar Marvel Universe than one where he seemingly has it all. Mark Waid, Tom Peyer, and Salvador Larroca collaborate on the miniseries.
