Blood Pack

DC Comics premiered this four-issue, team book in March 1995. As in so very many titles of the same time, Blood Pack is about a government-sponsored, super-group of young men and women, whose powers, in this case, arose from an encounter with alien parasites. Very similar to Image Comics’ Youngblood, Blood Pack deals with the trials and tribulations of the team as they save the world and deal with dating at the same time.

The team is comprised of seven members: Loria (strength), Ballistic (team leader), Nightblade (cybernetic limbs), Geist (invisibility), Razorsharp (arms morph into weapons à la the T-1000 terminator in T2, Sparx (electric power), and Mongrel (weapons). The team trains for its highly sensitive missions in a place not unlike the “X-Men’s” danger room. Razorsharp would later appear as the leader of the Psyba-Rats.
