Hi and Lois

    (Charlton, 1969-1971)
™ and © Charlton Publications, Inc.

A comic book based on the long-running comic strip that started in 1954 featuring Hiram and his wife Lois Flagston, and their four children Chip, twins Dot and Ditto, and baby Trixie. The strip was written and created by Mort Walker who also created Beetle Bailey and drawn originally by Dik Browne. It actually was a spin-off of Beetle Bailey as Lois is Beetle’s sister and the characters originally appeared there in 1953. By the time of the Charlton comic book, the characters were firmly established as one of the longest-running family comic strips of all time that is still going strong today.
