Krypto The Super Dog

(DC, 2006-2007)

Although Krypto the Superdog appeared in the pages of Superman comics as far back as the 1950s, this series is based on the Cartoon Network animated series. In this incarnation, Krypto is more “cartoony” than in previous versions, but his overall powers remain the same. Krypto traveled on a spaceship from Krypton, and amazingly enough, ended up on Earth just like his more famous Kryptonian owner, Kalel, better known as Superman. Krypto reunites with his Super-pal, now fully grown, who feels that Krypto would be better off if his master was now an Earth-boy named Kevin, in order to keep their true identities secret. Together Krypto and Kevin go on adventures saving the day on a much smaller scale than his adult male human counterpart.
