Years ago, Professor Fujii left for distant Tibet looking for a “three-eyed” race that had the secret of eternal youth. Now Yakumo, his son in Toyko, meets the perky girl Pai (300 years old and counting). The last of the legendary Sanjiyan Unkara, she needs Yakumo’s help to become human. After she saves his life by lending her immortality, Pai’s mission is now his own!

This dynamic duo search the streets of Hong Kong for the statue of “The Figure of Man,” the key in their quest. However, they encounter the feisty Mei-Hsing, who is searching for her missing brother who recently possessed it. Trouble’s afoot, as the hideous demon Ryo-ko abducts Mei-Hsing and intends to sacrifice the fair Chinese virgin to revive his king Kaiyan Wang’s evil kingdom.

Previously on hiatus, Yuzo Takada’s lengthy series had been resumed in the anthology Super Manga Blast, and now comes collected here. Full of bruised, bloody, and bare body parts, this series goes off-road into wacky and mystical flights of fancy. But it manages to retain a light-hearted romantic touch, as the bond between Pai and Yakumo evolves from being kindred spirits to souls meant to be together for eternity.
