In the wake of the Venom: Lethal Protector limited series, Venom finds himself partially rehabilitated. No longer a true villain, he’s now more of an overly enthusiastic protector of the innocent and a bane to the guilty.

Living in the underground of the San Francisco Bay area, Venom is called upon to save the life of an undercover reporter masking as a gang member. Unfortunately his path crosses with that of the Punisher. The two clash as the city erupts in gang warfare…in an explosion of violence that may serve as the unfortunate reporter’s funeral pyre.
