Markesh and Retrab are trapped in a dangerous dimension that borders on reality, and when they find an ancient map that leads to an exit, the adventure begins. They start leaping from place to place, taking exit after exit, and running into all sorts of trouble. When they arrive in the town of Basstok, they run afoul of a serial killer who takes heads as trophies, and it’s up to them to track him—and a specific head—down and set things aright. The story is intriguing, and the artwork is clean, crisp, and manga–inspired.
