The world had become spoiled on the indulgences that science brought: robots who fulfilled every need, cities continuously bathed in artificial sunlight, and vehicles that flew through the sky. But now the age of science is over and a new order has taken over, one ruled by modern day knights in suits of armor forged from the remnants of useless machinery.

In this new order, Merklynn, magician and magic incarnate, pulls the bravest knights, both bad and good, together in his lair. After having them go through a series of challenges, he gives them magic weaponry and charges them with the responsibility to rebuild the world.
