Venom: License to Kill

The murderous “hero” Venom escaped justice once again at the end of Venom: On Trial, when he was spirited away by a secret government agency. The agency’s brilliant idea was to make Venom a field agent, sending him in to deal with situations too dangerous for normal methods.

In a way, their plan worked—although it was something of a public relations disaster when Venom exercised his little idiosyncrasies like decapitating the terrorists he was sent to stop. To control him on future missions, he was fitted with a thermite bomb inside his chest. Any more “tricks” or disobedience, and the bomb would be exploded. He was then sent to stop Dr. Sergei Yesenofsky, former head of the biological weapons division at the Kremlin before he went freelance. Dr. Yes is now holding the world hostage under threat of releasing a doomsday plague. And, of course, the unstable Venom was the perfect person to send on this crucial mission. Great idea, huh?
