In the Terminator movies, time travelers from the future came to our present to prevent a horrific future. Roll everything back about 1,600 years and make our present the horrific future and you will have the premise of this crossover series featuring two of comic’s most recent heroines. Lady Pendragon is the accepted successor to King Arthur and the hope that was Camelot. Brigid the Protector, from More Than Mortal, is the defender of ancient Ireland, its indigenous people, and the Druid traditions.
They have both been invited to observe an organized debate between the Druids and Christian priests from England. But a man named MacAllister has come from our present to capture Father Patricius, the man who will become known as St. Patrick. MacAllister holds Patricius accountable for thousands of deaths due to the Catholic-Protestant conflict that infects Ireland today because he converted Ireland to Christianity. When he reveals the future of Ireland to Brigid—its subsequent conversion to Christianity and subservience to England—Brigid decides to prevent that future by opposing Christianity’s and England’s delegate: Lady Pendragon.
