The Toxic Avenger is a hero for our polluted times. A lightning bolt and a barrel of toxic waste transformed nerdy Melvin Junko into a muscle-bound mass of walking sludge, a defender of the weak and defenseless. Now, with his trusty mop in hand, the Toxic Avenger is cleaning up his city, and there’s a lot that needs to be cleaned up: environmentally, politically and justice-wise. His mop wipes up much of it, though it surely doesn’t hurt that Melvin’s new body absorbs flying toxins—like bullets—without any effect.
