One of espionage organization S.H.I.E.L.D.’s biggest secrets—of many—is the Asis Project, a brain trust of brilliant scientists looking into an alternative power source for space travel. As this four-issue limited series opens—the second in the Ultimate Galactus trilogy—S.H.I.E.L.D. and Captain Carol Danvers are preparing for a test launch, but they are not prepared for the intervention of the Ultimate version of Captain Mar-Vell—or Mahr Vehl, as he is called here—or the arrival of the world-devouring Gah Lak Tus.
