Oz-Wonderland Wars

In 1981, Scott Shaw! created, wrote and drew Captain Carrot and his Amazing Zoo Crew, a funny animal super-hero series loosely based on some of the characters from DC’s funny animal characters from the 1950s such as Peter Porkchops. By 1983, Captain Carrot was canceled, but a long-promised mini-series featuring characters from Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz finally materialized in 1986, though by this time other hands were producing the books. The tale is quite good and had they been publishing them at the time, the story would have made for a fascinating graphic novel.
