Series continues as The Incredible Hulk #102

Like Strange Tales and Tales of Suspense, this title was one of the great breeding grounds for today’s Marvel super-heroes. Formerly a horror/science-fiction title, it introduced Hank Pym, a.k.a. Antman, in issue #27. Antman, who could shrink to ant size at will and control his insect contemporaries through a special helmet, would later become a member of the Avengers. He would be joined in issue #44 by his future wife, Janet Van Dyne, the Wasp.

Beginning in issue #60, these new super-heroes would be displaced by Marvel’s new sensation, a green goliath known as the Incredible Hulk. Ten issues later, the title would switch to a Hulk/Sub-Mariner double-feature. This would last until the series concluded with issue #101, after which these two characters would both move to their own titles.
