The Vision
(Marvel, 1994-1995)
™ and ©1994 Entertainment Group, Inc.
Sometimes called the Synthetic Avenger, the Vision is an android created by Ultron, an evil robot bent on world conquest. Originally, the Vision was intended to be one of Ultron’s agents of destruction, but Vision, who could think for himself, decided that he would use his powers for good instead of evil, and became a key member of the Avengers. Later he would marry fellow Avenger, the Scarlet Witch.
The Vision’s powers include the ability to alter his molecular density, allowing him to pass through solid walls or become hard as a diamond. However, the synthetic avenger cannot feel emotions or dream. In this mini-series, the Vision becomes concerned when he begins to experience nightmares. He also begins to feel emotions for the first time. In desperation, he traveled to New Orleans to meet with Ultron, his creator. There he discovers that he is not the only android affected by these sudden changes.
