This series develops the origin of characters which first appeared in Punisher #24–25.

The Sunrise Society, a secret group of fanatics dedicated to the overthrow of the Japanese government and the reestablishment of Imperial Japan, murders those who find out and oppose their goals. The three brave children of two of the murdered, Sonjin, Yuriko, and Phillip are trained in Ninja and are now determined and ready to avenge their parents’ deaths. More than Ninja, they’re extraordinarily resourceful and clever, possessing a thirst for vengeance worthy of the Punisher himself.
