X-Men Adventures (Vol. 2)

Having proved themselves as one of the most popular Saturday morning TV shows in 1993, the X-Men now embark on a second season with a new volume of the X-Men Adventures comic book to match. This second series begins with the wedding of Scott Summers (Cyclops) and Jean Grey, moving on to have them face both new enemies and faces from the past. The latter includes the return of Morph, an X-Men thought killed by Sentinel robots in the first series, but who now returns as a villain.

X-Men Adventures has a different feel to it than the regular X-Men titles. The stories move at a much faster pace and the character motivations are less murky. The troubling plot discontinuities are now explained away as having taken place in an alternate timeline. In this way, the events of X-Men Adventures often parallel those of the other titles, but are not bound by them.
