Designed as political satire for the 21st century, this graphic novel owes a lot to early pioneers of the form such as Batman: The Dark Knight, and small wonder, as Author Stuart Moore was a founding Editor of DC Comics’ Vertigo imprint. The story is timely as the story’s President bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain Mr. Bush. There is a twist (in fact several) that won’t be revealed here, but the irony of the situation is satirized to its fullest extent.
