Axel Asher has been given the task of keeping two great universes separate in order to maintain the cosmic balance. He is the Access that has always been given this awesome responsibility. In trying to control his newfound power, Axel begins to start pulling people with him from one universe to the other. Soon, the Marvel mutants of Future Past are fighting Sentinels alongside the Legion of Super-Heroes, Wonder Woman is battling Juggernaut, Daredevil meets Batman, and the mighty Avengers come into conflict with the Justice League of America. And only Axel knows how it begins and ends, but he keeps just missing himself in time to learn what he must.
